About John Joseph Rogalla
John passed away from the Spanish flu on the same day as his seven year old daughter, Marcella. He passed away in Newark, New Jersey and she passed away at home in Winona, Minnesota. John's wife/Marcella's mother passed away eight days later, also from the Spanish flu.

John J. Rogalla
John J. Rogalla, husband of Mrs. Rogalla, 167 Chatfield street, died at Newark, N. J., of influenza Monday. The remains are expected to arrive in Winona late today.
It is the second death in the Rogalla family during 24 hours. Mr. Rogalla has been employed in the ship building yards at Newark for the past six months. He was 34 years old. Surviving is his wife, three sons, his parents, three brothers and eight sisters. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
