Died at Huntington on Friday, June 6, 1873, John Middagh Sands, in the 47 year of his age of lingering consumption.

Funeral held Monday at St. John's Church in Huntington L.I. Remains taken to Greenwood Cemetery for Internment.

Carriages will be waiting at the depot, Hunter's Point, on arrival of the 5:55 train to convey the remains to Greenwood Cemetery.
