John "Rick" Schallert passed away January 10, 2014 in Alvin Texas. "Rick" was born September 17, 1947 in Houston, Texas to Robert and Esther Schallert. Preceded in death by his father Robert and his wife Rosanne, he is survived by his mother Esther; Son, Keith Matthew Schallert and wife Beth; Daughter, Dixie Lee Rodriguez and husband Henry. Grandchildren, Daniella and Jeremiah Rodriguez. "Rick" loved being outdoors and outdoor sports, hunting, fishing and especially racing his "Outlaw Sprint Cars". He also enjoyed riding his Harley Superglide motorcycle. Funeral services will begin on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 with a service in the Chapel of Forest Park East Funeral Home at 3:00pm. Burial will follow immediately after the chapel service in Forest Park East Cemetery.
