Whitelaw shows she was age 14 at the time of her marriage to John Smart..3,4,5,6 Land rec'd as gift* 12 July 1653 John Smart received land as a gift on 12 July 1653 at tract N3, Magattey Bay, Northampton Co, VA. Edm. Scarburgh, merchant, freely give to John Smart (for my daughter Tabitha, now wife of John Smart) all the tract of land belonging to me at Maggattey Bay in Northampton County and livestock.
