About John Stedman
He was a wealthy tailor, storekeeper and inn holder of Cambridge.
John Stedman was the only surviving child of his mother by either marriage.
John Stedman was a tailor but kept a shop of goods in trade. He inherited the homestead. He was a thrifty man, accumulating property. He left about £3000.
He married 9 April 1691 to Sarah, daughter of Samuel Gibson by his first wife.
