Sergeant Styants Buried BUNBURY, Tuesday. Police - sergeant John Edward Styants, stationed in Bunbury for 20 years, was buried today. His death occurred at Merredin at the age of 50, and the body was brought back to Bunbury for the funeral this afternoon. After suffering from ill-health, he was transferred from Bunbury to Merredin in the hope that the drier climate would restore health. He was a member of an old South-West family and leaves a widow and three sons, one of whom is a constable at Geraldton. He is also survived by his 84 year-old father, who is a resident of Roelands. A keen axeman and athlete. Sergeant Styants was engaged in the Timber industry in his younger days, and was an expert faller.
