Probably the son of William Taylor of Northenden - christened Oct 1797. There were two John Taylors born in 1797 in Cheshire - both had fathers called William... One is indicated to have been from Northenden which is is a part of Macclesfield hundred, but quite far from Macclesfield itself. In various documents it is indicated that John was born in 1797 in Sutton, Macclesfield.
