About John Walworth
The earliest Walworth in Ipswich appears to be a William Walworth [who appears as a debtor]. From later records it can be seen that his wife is named Margaret. From the early 1430's there is also a John Walworth [who could be this John].
As his parents are not known, neither is his age or birthdate.
In his 1488 will he is not a Sir [although in a great many online trees he appears as one] & his wife is Clemens. He leaves bequests to son John Walworth, daughters Alice, Margaret & Elizabeth.
He asks to be buried in the Church of Saint Mary by the Tower in Ipswich & asks for prayers for his soul, those of his parents, his friend Thomas Fastolph [A John Walworth was the executor of the will of Thomas Fastolp in 1452]
He was probably the John Walworth who was a Bailiff in Ipswich.
From the 1510 will of his widow Clemens, it can be seen that Alice Walworth married James Framlingham [called Freamyngham] & had issue & Margaret [now deceased] married John Toke & had issue. Daughter Elizabeth & son John were not mentioned in Clemens will. She also asked to be buried in the Church of St Mary by the Tower, Ipswich.
