

Past this point the Waters family disappears into obscurity. They may, or may not, be connected with the John Water or Walter who was York Herald under Richard III.
Lt. Edward Waters (c. 1584-1630) later used a coat of arms resembling that borne by John Waters, York Herald, but that does not prove he had a right to it (the College of Arms has never had any jurisdiction in America).
