1777 One John Watts (a different man from the 1772 grantee) witnessed a deed for Thomas and Tabitha Watts of Great Lynches Creek (present Kershaw). This John Watts is said, by other researchers, to be Thomas and Tabitha’s son.5
By February 1792, our John Watts and his son Thomas were in Washington County, Ga.

Thomas‐of‐John was in Washington County, Ga. in February 1792, at which time he petitioned for land.
