About John Bradford Wetewode
John de Wetewode. (Inq. p. m. 8 Hen. V. No. 41), as heir to his second cousin, John de Bradford, succeeded to the barony of Bradford in Bamburghshire in 1398. His son, Thomas de Wetewode, born at Newcastle 23 November, 1413, assumed the name of Bradford, married Eleanor, daughter of John Horsley, of Outchester, and died an aged man on the 12 August, 1494.
