John WILLIAMS was born 25/12/1787 Brecknockshire, Wales, UK. (youngest child of William WILLIAMS and Ann JONES)

He was convicted of desertion from army and sentenced to 14 years transportation. John arrived in Sydney Cove on 27/7/1807 on "Duke of Portland".

On 15/1/1814 he married Sarah NASH at Parramatta and they had 13 children.

John died 21/9/1854 at Grosses Plain, NSW from "Exposure to Snow" and is buried at Cooma.
