John Williams was born circa 1782 and was a farmer. He married Esther Thomas on 12 October 1816 in Trelech Parish Church. They farmed Warwenallt, Meidrim, and had 8 known children. Warwenallt, a 127 acre farm, was leased to them by Daniel Jones. A John Williams, Drover, of (G)Warwenallt, Meidrim, is listed as a prisoner in Carmarthen (due to debt owed of over GBP 1500) in an 1801 edition of the London Gazette (attached) - who this is remains uncertain. John is buried along with his son, David, at Gibeon Welsh Independent Chapel, Bancyfelin:
