Jonathan Higgins was born circa 1697 at Eastham; (based on age at death). He was the son of Jonathan Higgins and Lydia Sparrow.

Jonathan Higgins married Rebecca Hopkins, daughter of Stephen Hopkins and Sarah Howes, on 5 April 1722 at Harwich.

Jonathan Higgins died on 30 January 1792 at Eastham.
