About Jonas Z. Peachey

- died of lung-fever (pneumonia) - Obituary in German - Translation: Jonas Z. Peachey was born near Belleville, Pa, a son of Preacher John and Sarah Zug Peachey. Died 15th of February 1921 in age 67 years, 2 months, 25 days. Funeral service was held at the house close near Belleville Pa. by John B. and Samuel Peachey. He was married to Amelia Yoder in 1877. Ten children were born to them, one died and nine are still living, and forty three grandchildren. In the year 1874, he was ordained Deacon which he was faithful in his calling when health permitted. Nine days before his death he still helped with church work. His last sickness was pneumonia, he was sick only six days. He left behind his wife and children in sorrow, not as of those who have no hope. Who can count the dust of Jacob and the number of the fourth part of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous, and let my last end be like his! 4 Moses 23, 10 - Numbers 23:10, KJV
