Prime"Jonas platt ye son of Isaack platt was born ye 10th of august In ye year 1667. [1]. He married Sarah Scudder abt 1694. Children are Obediah, Timothy, Jesse and Isaac Jonas was involved in several land transactions about 1689- 90. On 6 Sep 1696, he quitclaimed his interest in the houses, lands and meadows received under his father's will to his three younger brothers. [6]

Court record to all Christian people in whose this present writing shall come or any wise concern Jonas Platt eldest son heyer to Isaac Platt late of Huntington in kye county of suffolk, yoman, deceased. Senders greeting in our Lord God Everlasting know you that I the said Jonas Platt for & in consideration of a Sartain sume of money to me in hand paid by my well beloved brothers John Platt, Joseph Platt, & Jacob Platt at and before ye ensealing and delivery of the presents the resept whereofI do hereby acknowledgee and myselef to be theereiwth fully satisfyed contented and paid and thereof and of every part & parcel there of I doe by thes prsents forever acqult exonerate & discharge ye said John Platt, Joseph Platt and Jacob Platt the heyres exectours an admines have revised, released, quit claimed & confirmed unto ye John Platt, Josesh Platt & Jacob Platt their heyers and assignes for ever all those houses landes meadows and appurtenances devised & bequeatheed unto ye sd John Platt, Joseph Platt and Jacob platt by my saied father Isaac Platt aforesaid deseaced by his last will and Testament in writing hearing date ye two & twentyeth daaay of May in ye thirs yeare of his Mjaties reigne & in ye year of our Lord 1695 to have and to hold the sd houses lad meadowes & appurrtences & everey part and parcell thereof to them the said John Platt, Joseph Platt & Jacob Platt theire heyers and assynes to ye only proper usee and benifit of tho se sd John Platt, Joseph Platt & Jacob Platt their heirs and assynes forever in such protions & quantity as by ye said will to them is given & bequeathed in Witness thereof I the said Jonas Platt have hereunto set my hand and fixed my seale seventhe daye of September in th eiht year ofthe reign of sovreigns William ye third by the grace of God of Englend, Scotland France & Ireland King defender of the faith an anno 1696
