Jonet Ruthven, here treated, is the daughter of William Ruthven, Writer in Edinburgh, and his wife Marion Clerksone. She was born before 26 November 1615, the date upon which her baptism was registered at Edinburgh in Midlothian, Scotland. Her baptismal record reads as follows: "Williame Ruthven wreater [and] Marion Clerksone a. d. n. Jonet w. Robert Withirspone : Alexander Tod". Death

A date and place of death has nor been identified for Jonet Ruthven, here treated. However, she appears to have predeceased her sister Margaret, who died in January 1645, for she was not one of the surviving sisters who were recognized as her only executors dative by the Commissary Court of Edinburgh on 1 July 1646. Fake Genealogy

At least one pedigree published by Ancestry claims that Jonet Ruthven, here treated, married John Fraser and settled in Dundee. They are said to have had at least three children, including a daughter named Margaret who was born before 19 June 1663, when her putative mother would have been in her forty-eighth year.
