About Joni A. Troyer
Joni A. Troyer 79, of 834 Smokey Lane Sugarcreek, died Monday September 6, 2004 at 10:50 PM in his residence after an extended illness. Born February 14, 1925 in Holmes County he was the son of the late Andrew D. and Ada Miller Troyer. He retired in 1990 from the Belden Brick Company at Sugarcreek after 40 years and was also a member of the New Order Amish Church. Joni is survived by his wife the former Sarah Mullet whom he married February 6, 1947. Also surviving are 3 daughters Elsie (Glenn) Coblentz of Walnut Creek, Erma (Mose) Miller of Sugarcreek and Kathryn (Leroy) Miller of Forest, Ohio, 15 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren, 5 sisters Elizabeth Miller of Ashland, Dorothy Byler of Middlefield, Amanda (Milo) Mullet of Guys Mills, Pa., Ada (Freeman) Mullet of Martinsburg and Nettie (Emanuel) Chupp of Sarasota, Florida, 3 brothers Raymond (Mae) Troyer of Walnut Hills Nursing Home, Mose (Mary) Troyer of Sugarcreek and Noah (Emma) Troyer of Dundee, 5 step brothers Dan Miller of Seymour, Mo., Robert Miller of Sarasota, Florida, Crist Miller of Middlefield, Ohio, Albert Hershberger of Baltic and Henry Hershberger of Berlin, 1 step sister Mae (Raymond) Troyer of Walnut Hills Nursing Home. Joni was preceded in death by a brother John Troyer, 2 sisters Anna Miller and Mary Schlabach and a great grandson Bryce Erb. Funeral Services will be held Friday September 10, 2004 at 9:00 AM in the Maranatha Fellowship Church near Sugarcreek. Bishop Menno N. Miller will officiate and burial will follow in Yoder Cemetery near Sugarcreek. Friends may call at the Maranatha Fellowship Church Wednesday from 2 to 9 PM and Thursday from 2 to 9 PM. Smith Funeral Home in Sugarcreek is handling the arrangements.
