Great Grandfather Antonio Jimenez was living at the farm in Nixon in a little small house next to the main house of Bidal Jimenez Sr.

Bidal Jimenez Sr and his family had traveled out of town to go work in the Cotton fields.. Some where in Taylor Texas either West Texas, near Lubbock , Slayton, Or even as far out as Ortenzcia New Mexico ..Tio Sylvestre Jimenez, Son of Antonio Jimenez and Bidal Jimenez's Son Uncle Pete Jimenez who was 18 years of age stayed behind on the farm with Welito Antonio Jimenez. Uncle Pete was the first to Dicover that Welito Antonio Jimenez had passed away on October 8,1948.

Uncle Pete some way notifyed the family of Welito's Death either phone call or Telegram. The family was to far away. So Uncle Pete had to take care of Welito Antonio Jimenez Burial Arrangements . My Dad seems to remember hearing the family talk about Uncle Pete and Tio Sylvestre having to go dig the grave for Welito Antonio Jimenez. That is a Question I will have to ask Uncle Pete ? I do Show on the Death Certificate that Pete Valerio is the Informant on the Certifacate. The Address was Rt. 2 Box 21 Nixon, Texas.

My dad Said he doesn't remember if Welito Antonio had a Stove or not in that small house but that he wondered at times that who cooked for Welito Antonio while they were gone far away at times to go to work.

Update on Information on asking Uncle Pete about Welito Antonio Jimenez...........

Today on 12/11/08 I spoke to Uncle Pete (Pedro) Jimenez and he did confirm that him and Tio Sylvestre Jimenez were the ones who had to go Dig Welito Anotnio Jimenez's Grave and Burry him. He also mentioned to me that he had to go and borrow a Pick up Truck from Julian Pena.So they could take Welito's Corps to the Cemetary. Welito Passed on October 8 1948 and was burried that same day. I told Uncle Pete that I will have to get some more Information from him.

Notes: Julian Pena was some how related to Tia Reyes Mejia (Pena)

My dad said that he may be a brother. but not sure Must look that information Later.

It always a good Idea to ask as many question now that we have our family alive. So that we can pass on the family stories to our children and our Relatives.

My Dad Just mentioned to me today 11/1/2008 What Welito Antonio Jimenez looked liked he said he was a very lite complected man. he was about 5'5" and weight was some where around 165 to 180 lbs.

Also my dad Bidal Jimenez Jr. metioned The names of the other Children of Antonio Jimenez and Augustina Rodriguez Jimenez they had a total of 7 children that he knew at the time who were his living Uncles and Aunts:

These were the following Names of The Children:

1. Jesus Jimenez

2. Romana Jimenez

3. Bidal Jimenez

4. Virginia Jimenez

5. Dominga Jimenez

6. Sylvestre Jimenez

7. Santos Jimenez

Places that my Dad knew where these families had moved to or Lived In :

Monterrey Mexico,Cuidad Amante Tamaulipas MX, Ligida de Las Blancas Matamoros MX and maybe Nuevo León MX.

Now as for Tia Virginia Jimenez Munoz and Her Husband Juan Munoz and thier family Lived in Topeka, Shawnee, Kansas.

As For Tio Jesus Jimenez and Tia Josefa Valerio Jimenez they lived in the United States During the Great Depression . Times were difficult but they had heard that the Mexican Goverment was giving land to those families who worked the land . So they went to Matamoros Mexico to work the land .

This is something I found that Explains The Land Give away in the 1930's in Mexico:

Finally, in the 1930s Mexican President Lázaro Cárdenas, a left-leaning nationalist, carried out a massive redistribution of land to Mexico’s peasants, believing he could establish a kind of agriculturally based state socialism. The Mexican haciendas which had collapsed during the Great Depression were now distributed to peasants and Indians in the form of state leased lands called ejidos, given in perpetuity to those who worked them. While the land was held in trust collectively by the ejido, it was given over to the male head of the household and worked by individual farm families. For the peasants, the revolution had finally been fulfilled. Cárdenas foresaw peasant communities which would be supported by an agrarian bank and by agronomists who would help to bring irrigation and modern production methods to the countryside. The countryside would be joined to the cities by a system of highways creating a broader national market for Mexican farm products. Mexican peasant children would attend public schools and families would receive health care. "

Ok Jimenez side of the family here is something intresting I found today while doing research. I kept asking myself there has to be more information out there about Welito Antonio Jimenez and Welita Augustina Rodriguez......

So After all my question's too my Dad and Uncle George , Uncle Pete and others. I was able to come up with this. That welito Bidal lived some where near Lamapasa, Texas and that Everyone had said that he was born in Verney, Texas So I thought maybe it would be more like Borne,Texas. The search was not was what I was looking for......I got a little discouraged. Then Today I figured would try to look up cities near the Lampasas,Texas and that I figured that just maybe the Jimenez name would be incorrect just like the Yearbook photo I posted yesterday of Ricky and I . Well long behold I found the County of Burnet. ahhhh......... Sounds Like Verney....

I was also told by Uncle George that he had heard a story told by Aunt Lydia Martinez that Welita Augustina was a Indian Native American........ This left me so curious... So I began looking again and I started checking The Census Records.

I hit the jackpot I found This 1910 Record ....I know This is Them cause of Tia Ramona Jimenez.....Tio Jesus Jimenez...... And Tia Virginia Jimenez.

Yes! Welito Antonio Jimenez First and Last name are Misspelled They Spelled his name Antonia instead of Antonio . Now Jimenez is missing the i .

Welita Augustina they Totaly got her name Wrong A Mgistine It clearly shows Augustine on the Census the person doing the Transcribing could make out her name I guess. Ok as for the Children The name are correted down below...There is a name of a daughter that I can not make out .....I have to do some studying on this one.......Welito Antonio and Welita Augustina did have two More Son later in the Years..... Tio Santos and Tio Sylvestre Jimenez....

One last thing Ricky and I were discussing this over the phone today.....That if you look down at Welita Augustina's Census it Clearly states her Race as Indian (Native American)...... And Her Children's Race are Indian (Native American)......

I have attached Welito Vidals Census Record for View ...... Look at his race on this It does state Indian Native American ...... So Welita Augustina would have been 100% Indian Native American..... Then her children would have been 50% Indian Native American...... Then that means Our Parent's would have been 25% Indian Native American......And Our Generation an 8th% of Indian Native American and our Children would be 16th% Indian Native American......

Neat Info.......So Jimenez Family let me hear your Input to this Information....

Thanks A Bunch Pat
