The Whites of Enkeldoorn 1880-1980 is a history of the families of European descent who settled in the area of Enkeldoorn (renamed Chivi) Rhodesia (Zimbabwe). Author - Sarel van der Walt.

ADLAM Josef (died 1902) and wife Johanna Jacomina Elizabeth Bekker (died 1898) arrived in 1893 from their farm Highover near Pinetown, Natal and settled on their farm approximately 10 miles to the north of later Enkeldoorn, they named their farm Highover.


Josef Adlam arrived in Rhodesia from the family farm "Highover" in Pinetown, Natal, South Africa in 1893.

They settled on a farm North of Enkeldoorn in Rhodesia with their thirteen children, which they also called Highover farm.

Their youngest daughter Martha was born in Rhodesia and it is her line that is followed in this tree.
