Delia Wilson married William Leeman of Newcastle on Oct 6, 1861 in Wiscasset, Lincoln, Maine. Their son Joseph was born in June of 1863, and their other son Charles was born in July of 1865. Sadly infant Charles passed away 5 months later on Christmas Day, and his father William died 12 days afterwards on January 7, 1866, aged 26 yrs. 8 mos.. Delia and her young son Joseph moved to Providence, R.I. soon afterwards. Delia E. Leeman married James C. Hidden on November 27, 1867 in Pawtucket, RI. James was a widower with two children. The family resided in East Providence and then Providence. Delia and James had one child, Elizabeth Tower Hidden born in 1868, in Providence, RI..
June 1870 US Census for Providence, R.I. has James C. Hidden (56) and Eliza D. Hidden (26) living in Providence with children: Thomas (18), Annie (14), Joseph (Leeman) (7), and Lizzie (2). Thomas was working as a grocery clerk. Carrie B. Wilson (16), Eliza D. Hidden's sister is staying there and attending school.
1880 US Census dated June 9th lists James C. Hidden (67) and Eliza D. Hidden (35) living in Providence, R.I. with children: Fannie(24), Lizzie (11), and Joseph (17). Joseph was working as a store clerk.
On July 9, 1883 Joseph B. Leeman and Catherine T. O'Rourke were married in Rhode Island.
The 1900 directory lists Joseph B. Leeman, a salesman, as the property owner at 128 Irving Avenue Providence, RI. The two-and-one-half-story, Colonial Revival-style, single-family residential building is listed as the JOSEPH B. LEEMAN HOUSE (ca 1895) in the National Register of Historic Places.

April 1910 US Census for Providence, RI. lists: owner and head of the house at 23 Michigan Avenue: Joseph B. Leeman (46), occupation: manager clothing company; wife Catherine T. (51), children: William H. (22), draughtsman ecclesiastical metalwork company; Thomas F. (19), draughtsman machinery company; Mary C. (17), Margaret (13), and Anthony (9). Also listed are Ann Costello (70) mother in law, and Delia E. Hidden (66) mother.
