Joseph Bean is a member of Clan MacBean.
Joseph Bean, son of James and Sarah Bean, married March 16, 1724, in Amesbury, Massachusetts, Joanna Hannah Davis (1702-1785), daughter of Jeremiah and Mary (Huntington) (Joy) Davis.
Joseph Bean was an innkeeper and a weaver. He and his wife were members of the Kingston 1st Church.
Children of Joseph and Hannah were:
Coleman Bean, baptized February 6, 1725, died 1731;
Margaret Bean, baptized November 26, 1727, died June 28, 1735;
Miriam Bean born February 19, 1729;
Joseph Bean, baptized January 7, 1732, died June 25, 1735;
Seth Bean, baptized May 12, 1734, died June 27, 1735;
This family suffered terribly in the dread plague of 1735, which took the lives of so many children. Their child Miriam was the only one to survive.
Born after 1735 were the following children:
Margaret Bean, born August 12, 1738;
Sarah Bean, born April 19, 1740;
Joseph Bean, born September 30, 1742, died 1766;
Peter Bean, born January 28, 1744
Researcher's Notes
This Joseph Bean, and Joseph Bean, son of Daniel Bean and Ann (Sanborn) Bean are not the same person. They are first cousins once removed...John MacBayne is the grand-father of one and the great-grandfather of the other and both were born in Kingston, Rockingham, New Hampshire, possibly the same day. There is a question mark after the date of birth of the other Joseph Bean in the Clan MacBean book. But they have different wives and very different children.
