Biography

Joseph Blaney was born Oct 2, 1670 at Salem, Massachusetts to John and Hannah (King) Blaney.

He married Abigail Andrews on January 16, 1694 in Hingham.[1][2]

He was a shipwright and lived in Hingham until 1697, when he settled in Lynn. In his will he gave to the poor of the First parish in Lynn twenty pounds to be distributed by the deacons.

Joseph and Abigail had the following known children:[2]

Benjamin, b Nov 14, 1699 at Lynn
Jedediah, b Nov 21, 1701 at Lynn

Ambrose, b April 7, 1707; m Judith Curtis June 12, 1729 at Lynn
Nehemiah, was more than 14 years old in 1726-7, being a minor
Abigail, b in 1715; aged 12 in 1726-7, prob m Ralph Lindsey
Joseph died January 16, 1727, at Lynn, Massachusetts.[2]
