According to a letter written by Archibald Anderson Bruner to his granddaughter, Joseph was killed by runaway horse and wagon team. Joseph married Catharina Elisabetha Thomas 23 Nov 1700 in Iggelheim, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany.
