He graduated from Harvard in 1661.[1]
In 1665, he received from his father, the homestead in Cambridge, Massachusetts, along with several lots of land.
Joseph Jr married Martha Stedman 4 Dec 1665 in Cambridge, MA.[2]Their children were Alice, John, Elizabeth, Joseph and Haynes Cooke.
He remained in Cambridge and served as representative to the General Court from 1671 to 1680, served in King Philip's War as a Lieutenant.
He died shortly after February 1690/1 in Cambridge.
Administration of his estate was granted to Jonathan Remington on behalf of his minor son, Joseph Cooke (III).[3]
