From Genealogy of the Eatons of Salisbury and Haverhill
Joseph Eaton was born Aug 30 1715 in salisbury MA., and married Jane True of Salisbury on Jan 11 1737. They settled on a farm of 25 acres, part of the father John's estate(Essex co. Deed 72-118), and stayed there about 10 yrs, through the births of their first five children. Staring in 1746 he administerd his fathers estate, after his mother declined to do so. As of 1747, he was a Cordwainer. Some time between May 1746 and Nov 1749 this family removed to Hawke NH now Danville. They had a comfortable home on a farm there to the day of there father's death, which occurred very suddenly on Jan 15 1776.
