historical information ljbright_1added this on 14 Dec 2010 Joseph - Roane Co., Tenn - bought 500 acres of land in 1812 (Reference - deed book vol 3, Roane Co., Tenn) Joseph was born in North Carolina near the Virginia & Tennessee boarder. It is possible that they didn't know which state he was born in since the area was not surveyed until 1788). Joseph owned 200 acres near Lexington, Missouri. Patent was issued by Andrew Jackson Mar 1 1832 (160 acres) and Nov 6, 1835 (40 acres). It is said that the family cemetery is on that land. Carol Schroeder reported that : Jesse and Emily Dickson, George & Mary Greer, William and Barbara Wiley all lied in the original John Marr neighborhood -- Post Oak Twsp, south of Warrensburg, Mo. historical information ljbright_1added this on 14 Dec 2010 a Farmer. Came to Lafayette Co, Mo about 1832 from Davidson Co., Tenn. Nashville was first named "French Lick" if found in references. His will was found in Lexington, Lafayette Co, Mo.; vol d, pg 235, dated 19 June 1855. Probate of will was dated 10 Mar 1874. (located in the Recorder's office) Family farm and cemetary given in will - surrounded by Nashville now.
