Death of Joseph Kukowski, Sr.
Joseph Kukowski, Sr., 69, 163 Mechanic street, retired boilermaker at the Chicago & North Western shops, died at 12:25 p.m. today at his home after an illness of four months. Mr. Kukowski was born February 16, 1873, in Winona, and retired about four years ago from active work. He was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters of St. Casimir's parish and of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers. Survivors are his wife; three sons, Harry, Leo and Joseph, Jr., Chicago; three daughters, Mrs. John (Cecilia) Jeresek, Dodge, Wis.; Joan, Minneapolis, and Mrs. Richard (Bernadine) Dernek, Winona; twelve grandchildren; one brother, John, Arcadia, and one sister, Mrs. Stanley Ratajczyk, Dodge. Funeral services will be conducted at 9 a.m. Monday at St. Casimir's church, the Rev. J.E. Grabowski officiating. Preliminary services will be conducted at the home at 8:30 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery. The body will be taken to the home Saturday afternoon. The rosary will be said Saturday and Sunday at 7:30 p.m.
