About Joseph Loader

Mr Joseph Loader died on Friday, at Lyttelton, at the age of 81. He came to Lyttelton in the Bangalore in 1851. He was the first to drive sheep over the bridle path from Lyttelton, and took part in the construction of the path. He leaves five sons and a daughter. Source: Otago Witness (2 July 1902, p. 58).
