About Joseph Curtis Markham
JOSEPH MARKHAM
PROVO--Joseph Markham, 64, former Utah County deputy sheriff and attendant at the Utah State Hospital, died at the family residence, 365 North First East Street, Monday evening, following a month's illness.
Mr. Markham was born in Spanish Fork, August 27, 1868, a son of Stephen and Mary Curtis Markham. He lived in Spanish Fork until 1911, when he came to Provo. He served as Spanish Fork marshal several years prior to that. He was an active member of the LDS Church and filled a mission to New Zealnad from 1894 to 1898.
Besides his widow, Mrs. Mary C. Lewis Markham, two sons and a daughter survive: J. Aldous Markham and Mrs. Lucille M. Thorne, Salt Lake; Fred L. Markham, Provo; two grandchildren, five brothers and sisters, Ira M. Markham, Mrs. Maretta Bowen and Mrs. Margaret E. Morgan, Spanish Fork, Mrs. Juliann Crow, Salt Lake; Edgar Houghton, Portland, Oregon.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Provo LDS Fourth Ward Chapel, with interment in Spanish Fork City Cemetery.

Joseph Markham
Joseph Markham, 63, died at 6:50 p.m. at his residence, 265 North 1st East, on April 11, 1932 in Provo, Utah County, Utah of cardio-renal complex which was contributed by dropsy. He had been a resident of Provo for 21 years.
He was born August 27, 1868 in Spanish Fork, Utah to Stephen Markham and Mary Curtis Markham. He married Mary Catherine Lewis January 18, 1898. His occupation was an attendant at the Utah State Hospital.
Interment was made at the Spanish Fork Cemetery on April 14, 1932. Hatch Mortuary handled the funeral arrangements.
Mrs. Leona Hall recived word Monday fo the death of her uncle Joseph Markham of Provo. Mr. Markham is a brother of the late Emily McKee. Bishop John B. Eaton was a missionary companion of Mr. Markham at one time in the mission field.
