Joseph Mayo

Joseph MAYO was born 1739 in Middlesex County, Virginia, United States. He was the son of celebrated Colonial American surveyor Col. William MAYO (1684-1744) and Ann PERRATT (1701-1773). Joseph’s siblings included John MAYO (b July 17 1737).

When Joseph was 5 years old, his father MAYO, William died on Oct 20 1744. When he was 34 years old, his mother PERRATT, Ann died in 1773.

On Sept. 3, 1761, Joseph married Martha TABB (b March 08 1744) in Kingston Parish, Gloucester County, Virginia, United States. He was 22 years old when he married Martha, who was 17 years old at that time.

He lived in Powhatan Seat plantation, Richmond, City of Richmond, Virginia, United States.

On June 17 1802, Joseph died in Virginia, United States when he was 62 years old.
