Joseph H Riecke

Riecke Joseph H, 83, died Feb. 9 in Byron Health Center, Fort Wayne. The father of Phillip Riecke, R. 2, Avilla, he resided at R. 3, Churubusco and was born July 31, 1893 in White County to Herman and Antoinette (Kemp) Riecke. He married Mary Maloney May 4, 1920 and she died in March 1940. After their marriage, they lived near Ege, and in 1943 moved to a farm in Allen County near the county line. He was a member of St. John Bosco Catholic Church in Churubusco. Other survivors include one daughter, Miss Phyllis Riecke, R. 3, Churubusco; two sisters, Mrs. Alvina Schenher, Churubusco, and Mrs. Pauline Kremer, Monticello; one brother, Clem, Churubusco; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. One son, one daughter, two brothers and one sister preceded him in death. Funeral mass Saturday in St. John Bosco Church. ~ 2-17-1977 + 2-9-1977
