Joseph Snodgrass

Joseph Snodgrass lived in Virginia. Joseph Snodgrass Birth: abt. 1738 People have assumed that Mary Miller, daughter of Hugh Miller, was married to John Snodgrass, but John did not name any of his sons Hugh, nor were any of his grandsons named Hugh. Joseph Snodgrass also had a wife Mary, and even though we have not found where Joseph died, nor any documents pertaining to his heirs, there is a Hugh Snodgrass living in Washington Co., Virginia, of the right age to be his son. Therefore, it seems more likely that Mary (Miller) Snodgrass was the wife of Joseph rather than the wife of John, and that Hugh Snodgrass was their son. citation needed
