The death occurred in the Auckland Hospital of Joseph Mark (Roy) Starr, a farmer well known in the Towai district. He had suffered continually from bomb concussion ever since the Great War, when he was a member of the Main Body, and, about four years ago had to seek admission to the Auckland Hospital, where he was under treatment until his death. Upon returning from the war, he commenced farming at Towai, and remained there for the next 10 years. Born at Ngaruawahia, he is survived by his wife, Agnes (Dolly) and two small children, Betty and Donald, who are at present residing at Kerikeri.
