"Mr Joseph Tenny an aged man Died April 26th I775" [Vital Records of Norwich, pg 288].

He was born at Bradford, now Groveland, Massachusetts on March 16, 1698/99, son of Samuel and Sarah Boynton Tenny [Tenney, Martha Jane, "The Tenney Family, or, The descendants of Thomas Tenney of Rowley Massachusetts, 1638-1904...", pg 39].

Children (most births recorded at Norwich) included: ~ Joseph, April 22, 1725 (Tenney genealogy gives birth year of 1724) ~ Anne, February 5, 1726/7 ~ John, September 2, 1729 ~ Sarah, September 7, 1731 ~ Asa, September 8, 1733 ~ Elijah, June 25, 1735 ~ Jesse, June 11, 1739 - died in infancy ~ Jesse, April 20, 1741 ~ Hannah, 1743 Inscription: "In Memory of Mr Joseph Tenny who Died April 26th 1775 in the 77th year of his Age."
