Craig Miles: As it stands, this profile seems to be the confluence of two Joseph Thomson's who ultimately came to resemble each sufficiently to make it look as though they are the same, resulting in a final merge to make them one.

I think that these need to be unravelled into 2 separate Joseph Thomson's although it is not clear at this stage how.

Wife Elizabeth should possibly be Elizabeth Hartland (https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/M8JS-51Q) not Elizabeth Harter who was possibly married to the "other" Joseph Thompson
