About Joseph Watson
The President of the United States of America, in the name of Congress, takes pleasure in presenting the Medal of Honor to Private Joseph Watson, United States Army, for extraordinary heroism on 4 June 1869, while serving with Company F, 8th U.S. Cavalry, in action at Picacho Mountain, Arizona Territory. Private Watson killed an Indian warrior and captured his arms.
