(son of William Whitehead and Jane Hardman). Born April 1, 1845, Nauvoo, Illinois. Came to Utah 1852, Thomas Howell company.

   Married:	Delia Presendia Curtis July 24, 1869, Payson, Utah (daughter of Joseph Curtis and Sarah Reed of same place, pioneers October 12, 1848), who was born December 9, 1849.
   Their children:
           Presendia Adelma born April 23, 1870, married i. Allan Taylor;
           Joseph William born March 14, 1872, married Alzina Stewart;
           James Franklin born March 3, 1874, died May 11, 1876;
           John Alma born February 4, 1876, died February 9, 1878;
           Sarah Jane born March 2, 1878, married James M. Rigby;
           George Eli born March 21, 1881, married Bertha Anderson;
           Alice Zobedia born June 15, 1883, married R. H. Barney;
           Emma Sophia born October 26, 1886, married David S. Sanderson;
