Joshua Carr

1. Joshua Carr (son of Benjamin Carr and Ruth Moody) married Gehanna (Joanna) Hamer, Feb. 7, 1751, and owned the farm of the late Ebenezer Perkins. He was a Capt. in the militia, and the principal trader in town. He owned a sloop called the Joanna in 1764. His account book is now in the possession of one of his descendants.

His children were

• Esther, m. Joseph Hutchins;
• Elinor, John Emmons;
• Lois, Samuel Watson; and
• John who died young.
