Biography

Joshua Prentice was born 2 Jul 1737 @ Stonington, Connecticut. He was the fifth child of Samuel Prentice and Abigail Billings.
Careful reading of Wheeler (1900) History of Stonington is required toassociate the maternal connection of his 3 (total) children from his two marriages::1) 14 Jan 1776 to widow Elizabeth Stanton Hewitt; she died 10 Dec 1776; no children appear from this marriage;:2) 25 Apr 1787 to Mary Shepherd; there were 3 children of this marriage.

Joshua Prentice died 6 Sep 1794.
