Joshua Welch

Joshua Welch was born in SC appx 1807 He was the second Mayor of Marietta, Georgia in 1853 He was the Treasurer of the W&A railroad for ost of his life. He owned a store in Marietta, GA called "WELCH & YORK" He was in Georgia Legislature in the 1870's until he passed away, noted in Atlanta Newspaper front page He had four daughters He was married to Nancy (nee:Gilbert) her Mother was Tamara nee; Strickland her Grandfather was Jacob Strickland
