About Josiah Field
Josiah was born at Castlereagh, New South Wales on 30 Nov 1839, the son of Edward Field and Esther Lees, and was baptised in Castlereagh, New South Wales on 25 Dec 1839.
When Josiah was 7 years of age, his father (Edward Field) passed away. Josiah's mother (Esther Lees) remarried Thomas Wilson within a year of Edward's death.
On 14 Jun 1864, Josiah married Sarah Morris at Forbes, New South Wales. They had ten children: Josiah, Arthur William, Henry Scott, Frances, Joseph Milton, Grant, Esther Maria, Edward Owen, Orton and Pierce.[7]
Josiah passed away at the age of 76 at Bedgerebong, New South Wales on 13 Aug 1915. He is buried at Bedgerabong Cemetery, Bedgerebong, New South Wales on 14 Aug 1915.
