On October 24, 1929, a well-known and respected compatriot Josip Jerič, a long-time owner of the 7th Railway store on 3563 E. 81st Road, died in the Newbourg settlement, reaching the age of 53. The deceased was very active in the society and also in the church field, so we read his name among the founders of the society of St. Lawrence no. 63 KSKJ and also as a multiple official of the marked association. His son Josip Jr. is the current secretary of this society. In addition, he belonged to four other societies. The deceased was born in the village of Zagrič, parish of Primskovo, in the Dolenjska region. He lived in America for 36 years. The deceased leaves his wife Maria and seven children: Mary (married Hrovat), Ana, Joe, Frank, Julia, Theresa and Martin. In addition to these, he also leaves his brother Martin Jerič in Collinwood and sister Frances Gliha in Newburg, and his sister Marija Miklič in the old town. He then leaves Rajna for his half-brothers Ignac, Frank and John and for his half-sisters Mrs. Ano Widigoj and Mrs. Mary Slak, as well as cousin and cousin Martin Hren and Angela Stražer. Let him rest in peace
