About Joyce DeHart

ROY -- Joyce Nelson DeHart passed away Saturday, July 31, 2010, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born June 20, 1928, in Lewiston, Utah, the daughter of Bertrand Heber and Caroline Luzell Leavitt Nelson. Joyce married Larry DeHart on June 25, 1948, in Bloomington, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple; later divorced. She was an active member of the LDS church and held many callings. She was also a member of Daughters of Utah Pioneers and was active in the community.

She is survived by her children: Lorrie (Jim) Armitage, Teri (Craig) Hughes, Robyn (Brent) Talbot, Taber (TammySue) DeHart and Shane DeHart; two sisters, June Gordon, Vonda Clark and a brother, Keith (Marilyn) Nelson; 21 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Guy, Ray, Dick, and Don Nelson.

Joyce was a friend to many and loved by all. Special thanks are extended to Applegate Hospice for their loving care, especially Lori, Julie, Coundy, Bonnie and Deann

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 5, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at Myers Roy Mortuary, 5865 South 1900 West, Roy, Utah. Friends may greet family on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Thursday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Aultorest Memorial Park, 836 36th St., Ogden, Utah.
