This protolocolo is the will of Captain Miguel de la Garza Falcón. It states that this document was witnessed by Lt. Nicolás de la Garza, bears no signature of the writer, and is dated 8 May 1694 at the Hacienda de San Francisco, Monterrey. It states that the author is to be buried in the Iglesia Parroquial (now the Monterrey Cathedral) in the burial place he has near the side door. His parents Blas de la Garza and Beatriz Gonzáles, his wife Gertrudis de Renteria, her parents Sargento Mayor Jacinto García de Sepúlveda and Doña Clara de Renteria, and his children Jacinto, Juana, Julián, Leonor, Clara, Micaela, Antonio Miguel, María, Beatriz, Félix, Juan, Pablo, and Manuel are identified. Further, Juana's husband Antonio Rodríguez, Micaela's husband Fernando Sánchez de Zamora, and María's husband Alférez Juan de Villarreal are cited.
