

Juanito Reyes Remulla served as a member of the provincial board of Cavite and was appointed twice as acting governor, the first time in 1964 and the second in 1965. In 1971, he was elected as a delegates of Cavite to the Constitutional Convention. Remulla, then 38 years old, was the youngest candidate, garnered the highest number of votes, besting his three more senior and experiences colleagues. On 25 September 1979, he was appointed Governor of Cavite after the untimely death of Governor Camerino. He served in this temporary capacity until the election for governor on January 30, 1980 when Remulla, a KBL candidate won over his Nacionalista opponent.
