About Juda Benesch
At the time of the 1793 Jewish Census of Bohemia, Juda Benesch was recorded as part of his father's family. His father, Moyses Benesch, lived in the village of Schlüsselburg (now Lnáře) in the Prachen region (Strakonice district). Juda was the 5th-born son. Moyses ran a brandy distillery, and he was under the protection of Schlüsselburg. In addition, according to the census Moyses had minimal assets ("hat ein geringes vermögen").
Juda Benesch died December 24, 1845 in Schlusselburg (Lnáře) House 96. Kasejovice 777 Folio 10, Line 50.
Moyses' wife's name was Regina. The names of 8 of their 11 children were listed in the record, but the ages of the family members were not recorded.
