Okay, I have found records for him. This adds more information for his mother's given name also.

He married in 1861 in Veisiejai, Henka Grodzien daughter of Jankiel. His mother's name was given as Chaja so assume she was Chaja Rocha since she's Rocha in other records. His father died quite young, so I'm assuming his father, Mowsza, was not married twice.

In 1862, he and his new wife had a son, named for his deceased grandfather, recorded in Przerosl.

This son died in 1871, age 9.

It seems clear now that this record is for him. We have to assume that he was not born in 1837 as in other records, or is older than 18 and that his mother's name was Chaja Rochel. It's quite possible that the groom and bride's ages were transposed because 1837 + 24 would be 1861, the year of the marriage record.
