Research ==Notes for Marc Lasonde:≤ref>http://homepage.ntlworld.com/pitretrail/myline/paternal/mlasonde.htm≤/ref>≤br />- 1752 census: Ile Royale (Cape Breton Island): Judith Petitpas, 60 years of age, native of Port Royal, widow of Marc La Sonde. She has two boys: Jean Baptiste La Sonde, aged 21 years; Joseph La Sonde, aged 21 years. 1 ox, 3 cows, 2 calves and 4 hens.≤br />- At adjoining lots are her married daughters Marguerite & Marie Anne.≤br /> - As there is no mention of Marc LaSonde, Judith Petitpas, sons Jean Baptiste & Joseph, daughter Marie Anne, her husband, or children in France, the probability is high that they all perished, as did most of Marguerite LaSonde’s family, in the crossing to France.≤br />
