About Judith Ralla

In some Genealogies instead of Judith Lotter they list Juliane, sister of Hieronymus Lotter, daughter of Michael Lotter. She is also born around 1505. But in Salomon Stepner's 1675 released (138 years past the death of Ralla's wife only) is a print of J.Lotter's grave inscription and her name is clearly readable as "Judith", so the Juliane theory is proven wrong.

Stepner's book is found here :, the relevant entry is #941.

The Juliane-Theory mainly goes back to a dissertation from 1972, author is Karl-Günther Petzold, and to an article in "Familie und Geschichte", in Volume 3, Page 97, 1998.

The (correct) theory "Judith, daughter of Melchior Lotter" is from an article in "Genealogie 02/1984", the main argument, as described above is Salomon Stepner's works.

Some insight about Ralla, Lotter and their ancestors is also found in the corpse preaches of the Stollberg collection (I have read them and have a copy). Sadly the library does not allow to share the copies on the internet, so I cannot attach the material to Geni.
